Grog Island

The owners of this 10-acre evergreen and granite island in Penobscot Bay wanted the feeling and simplicity of living on a boat. The design provides the casualness they requested for their summer retreat. In the light filled interiors, all rooms are directed to the views. Fifteen-foot high skylights in the main living space open the interior to the trees and panoramic water views beyond.
