The Galleria
One of the first buildings in New York City to benefit from incentive zoning legislation, the 57 story mixed-use, reinforced concrete building, the tallest in the world at the time of its completion, sits upon a covered public “street” connecting 57th and 58th streets just east of Park Avenue.
The lower section of the building contains office space, a health club, restaurants, swimming pool, sundeck, and a fitness center. The upper section contains over two-hundred and fifty condominium apartments. Atop the Galleria, a 17,000 square foot “quadruplex” penthouse apartment, structured to allow for landscaped terraces and gardens above the spires of New York.
