In response to the owner's desire for a building entrance with greater visual impact on Madison Avenue, the entrance was expanded vertically, creating a grand two-story entrance and lobby at a scale more consistent with the building's size. Referencing the luminous showrooms of Madison Avenue, a transparent glass facade and canopy were utilized to visually open the lobby to the street, exhibiting the lobby's rich architectural elements and Henry Moore sculpture.

The interior space is sheathed in light beach sand limestone to create a glowing white volume in which architectonic elements of various forms, materials and finishes are composed asymmetrically to one side of the lobby, presenting an orchestrated sequence of visual experiences to the visitor.
