315 Hudson Street
Our design work at 315 Hudson Street began with the new ground floor retail spaces at the corner of Spring and Hudson Streets. Inspired by the historic industrial activity of the building, contemporary aluminum and glass storefronts and entrances were introduced into the existing traditional warehouse façade. A new building entrance, designed to be compatible with the new retail storefronts, completed our first phase of improvements.
A few years after the storefronts were completed, we were asked to design improvements to the existing building lobby. Restoring the existing black and white terrazzo floor, we continued and strengthened the black and white palate and continued the architectural vocabulary of our exterior work by introducing a 32 foot long back-lit light box, placed upon new black stone walls.
The lobby is accented by the polished black concierge desk placed in front of the shingled white crystallized glass wall.
