Searching for an architectural solution that both references the building's classical roots and the neighborhood's innovative spirit, the front doors of the building were removed and the opening heightened to allow for a contemporary glass entrance.

Against a backdrop of classical stone walls and floors, a contemporary back-lit metal and glass interior "canopy" was placed within the lobby providing a vibrant, contrasting architectural element to the somber stone backdrop.
